Danica Gavrilović

Danica Gavrilović was born on May 20, 1964 in Belgrade. The first grade of violin, in the music school “Josip Slavenski” enrolled in the class of prof. Dejan Markovic. During her education at the elementary and secondary music school “Josip Slavenski”, in addition to a large number of public performances, she won numerous awards at national and federal competitions and in 1973 she performed as a vocal soloist with the FMU choir and orchestra in the halls of Kolarac People’s University (Leonard Bernstein: Chichester Psalms).

She graduated from the high school of music “Josip Slavenski” in the class of prof. Dejana

Markovic. In addition, she completed the lower and three grades of the high school of music “Stankovic”, department of solo singing, in the class of prof. Branka Kambaskovic. She had to stop her education at this department due to her obligations at the Faculty of Music and the music school “Dr. Vojislav Vuckovic “, where she worked from 1983 to 1985. She graduated violin at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade in the class of prof. Dejan Mihajlovic.

From 1989-1991 she was the concertmaster and soloist of the Šibenik Chamber Orchestra, with which she performed in the country and abroad. During the same period, she worked as a violin teacher at the Music School in Šibenik (Croatia). For many years she worked as a violin teacher at the Davorin Jenko Music School in Belgrade, where she was the head of the string department from 2000-2008. years before moving to the school for musical talents in Ćuprija, where he is currently working.

As a member of the jury, she was at the national competitions in 2004, 2006 and 2008, at the festival of music schools in Zajecar in 2006, at the international competition in Italy (Verbanja) in 2007, at the competition of young violinists in Lazarevac.

In 2009 and at the Little Virtuoso competition in Belgrade in 2009 and 2010. With her students, she won numerous awards at domestic and international competitions.
