Armin Sešek studied violin at the Faculty of Music Arts in Belgrade. After twelve years of working in the orchestra of the Belgrade Philharmonic, he decided to become a teacher. He taught violin at the “Stanković” school in Belgrade and at the school for musical talents in Ćuprija.
1992 moved to Slovenia, where he teaches violin at the Conservatory of Music and Ballet in Ljubljana.
He regularly teaches violin at summer schools in Grožnjan (Cr), Sorica (Slo) and Trieste (It). He had summer schools in Koper, Postojna, Ljubljana, Domžale, Bled and Škofja Loka. He held violin seminars in Ljubljana, Zagreb, Osijek, Dubrovnik, Novo mesto, Trbovlje, Grosuplje, Krško, Cerknica, Koper, Postojna, Maribor, Freising. (No), Carlow (Ir), Mittenwald (No), Split, Makarska, Novi Sad, Šibenik.
His students won 303 awards at national and international competitions, of which 128 first and 25 absolute. Eight times his students were laureates of the competition.
String orchestra composed exclusively of students of prof. Sešek, received Summa cum laude at the 55th European competition in Neerpelt (Bg).
Former students of Prof. Sešek studies in Belgrade, Zagreb, Moscow, Novi Sad, Ljubljana, Klagenfurt, Vienna, Graz, Salzburg, Cologne, London, Zurich, San Francisco and Los Angeles.
Today, some of them are members of the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra, RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra, Ljubljana Opera, Maribor Opera, Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich, Zagreb Radio Orchestra, Symf. Orchestra of the National Theater Zagreb, Munich Radio Orchestra, ORF Vienna Symphony Orchestra, Seattle Philharmonic Orchestra, Augsburg Philharmonic Orchestra, Karntner Sinfonieorchester, Australian Chamber Orchestra, Zurich Chamber Orchestra. Others successfully teach violin in Slovenian, Croatian, Austrian and Serbian music schools.
He was awarded the Škerjančev award for his achievements in pedagogical work.
