Jelena Vukajlović was born in 1975 in Belgrade. She graduated from the junior and high school of music “Kosta Manojlović” in the class of Prof. Svetlana Vukajlović, and the FMU in Belgrade in the class of Prof. Jasna Maksimović. Since 1998, she has been permanently employed as a violin teacher in music school “Kosta Manojlović” in Zemun.
During her pedagogical work, her students won numerous awards at domestic and international competitions. Some of the domestic competitions are: Republic Competition, Festival of Music and Ballet Schools of Serbia, String Festival in Šabac, String Competition in Nis, Sremska Mitrovica, Sremski Karlovci, Mini Paganini …
Significant international competitions in which her students have achieved notable results and awards are: Petar Toškov, Petar Konjović, Jaroslav Kocijan – Czech Republic, Ohrid pearls – Macedonia, Glazunov competition in Paris, Nedeljka Simeonova – Haskovo (Bulgaria), Italy Barleta, Italy – Brentoniko …
She was a member of the jury at the Republic competition, string competition in Šabac, Binička, Lisinski competition, Arandjelovac competition, as well as international competitions in Zagreb and Russia.
She trained together with her students under eminent professors such as: Prof. Dejan Mihailović, Prof. Roman Simović, Prof. Robert Lakatoš, Prof. Dragutin Mladenović… She also attended a seminar in Finland (Helsinki) in 2007, and improved her skills. with Prof. Geza Szilvay according to his method of learning the violin.
Many of her students became students at the FMU in Belgrade and the Academy in Novi Sad, as well as faculties abroad. Now they are successful students, professors, members of various chamber ensembles and orchestras.
