Isabel Pimentel studied Violin and Viola in the Lisbon Conservatory and went on developing repertoire and interpretation with Masters François Broos and Santiago Kastner.
She obtained in 1988 the 1st Prize in the Portuguese Musical Youth Competition (Superior Level) and in 2000 graduated in Viola in the Superior Music School – Lisbon.
She played often Recitals with Piano and other Chamber Music Ensembles. As a soloist, she presented herself with various orchestras.
She was a member of the Gulbenkian Orchestra in Lisbon for 40 years and was 2nd leader of the Viola Section.
She is Viola Teacher in the Lisbon Conservatory and member of the LopesGraça Quartet, an ensemble with intense activity within a classical and modern Portuguese repertoire.
