Christoph Michael Wilhelm Jahn

Christoph Michael Wilhelm Jahn, Cellist, born in Erfurt (Germany) in 1977. He graduated and completed postgraduate studies at the Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt in Weimar (Germany) in the class of Professor Brunhard Böhme. He studied with professors Bogumil Karakonov, Gerhard Mantel, Peter Leisengang, Christoph Ritter, Tobias Kühne, Jörg Wolfgang Jahn, Jürgen Wolf, Stephan Forck (Vogler Quartett) and Ulrich Beetz (ABEGG Trio).
He started his professional musical career in 2000 as an apprentice of the Staatskapelle Weimar orchestra, and was then engaged in the Erfurt Symphony Orchestra, Kammerphilharmonie Köln and as leader of the cello group of the Lohorchester Sondershausen Orchestra.
From 2009 to 2021, he worked as a tutti cellist and leader of the cello group in the orchestra of the Serbian National Theater in Novi Sad, deputy leader of the cello of the Vojvodina Symphony Orchestra, and continues to collaborate with the Kammerphilharmonie Köln as a solo cellist and soloist on tours. He is a permanent member of the Camerata Novi Sad orchestra. Since 2020, he has been acting as the leader of the cello group of the Belgrade Philharmonic.
Christoph Michael Wilhelm Jahn gives concerts both in the region and throughout Germany, Great Britain and Ireland, Australia, Spain, France as a soloist, solo cellist and member of chamber ensembles and orchestras.
