Enre Švan

Erne Švan was born on August 5, 1983. in Zrenjanin, where he graduated from the lower and secondary music school “Josif Marinković”. He entered the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad in 2001 in the class of prof. Irina Jašvili, with whom she is completing her undergraduate and master’s studies. He is the winner of numerous awards at national and international competitions. During his studies, he was a scholarship recipient of the Republic and University Fund, as well as the London-based Connection organization. He is the winner of the University of Novi Sad Award for the achieved results, the Norwegian Royal Scholarship for 2003/04. school year, as well as scholarships for talented pupils and students from the area of ​​the City of Zrenjanin. During his education, he improved at numerous master courses in the country and abroad with eminent professors such as Dejan Bogdanović (Italy), Donna Lee Croft (Great Britain), Ilja Grubert (Netherlands), Geza Kapos (Hungary), Jiri Tomašek (Czech Republic), and others.
In a duo with his sister Hilda Schwan (piano), he maintains a regular concert practice, performing in the country and abroad (Great Britain, Italy, Hungary, Romania, Austria). He performed as a soloist with the Vojvodina Symphony Orchestra, Kamerat Novi Sad, Zrenjanin Philharmonic, Zrenjanin Chamber Orchestra, AUNS Symphony Orchestra, Jewish Chamber Orchestra.
Erne Švan acts as concertmaster of the Vojvodina Symphony Orchestra, the Zrenjanin Philharmonic and the Zrenjanin Chamber Orchestra. As a concertmaster, he collaborated with important soloists and conductors of today, such as Maksim Vengerov, Miša Majsko, Gabriel Bebešelja, Aleksandar Marković, etc. He was engaged in successful pedagogical work at ŠOMO Bačka Topola from 2008 to 2016, where he and his students won significant awards both in the country and abroad. He is currently employed at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad as an independent professional associate in the Violin subject.
