Igor Josifoski was born 1969 in Belgrade, Serbia, where he finished the elementary and high school. He graduated in the “K.Stankovic” High school of music, in the class of prof.Jovan Stojanovic in Belgrade. Bachelor studies he finished at the “Academy of arts of Novi Sad”, in the class of prof.Laszlo Horvát. As a student Josifoski was a participant of many competitions and masterclasses, he was a member of “Camerata academica” with the artistic director prof.István Varga, with they had many concerts and recordings during that time. Immediately after Bachelor graduation, Igor got a solo viola permanent job in the “Serbian national theatre” in Novi Sad. At the same time he was also a teacher in the Music school “Isidor Bajic” in Novi Sad, where in 2001 he gets the permanent job and stays there as a professor of viola, chamber-music and orchestra excerpts until today. His viola and chamber-music students won a very big number of prizes in national and international competitions. Many ex-students of Josifoski are working in national and international orchestras, but also as teachers in Serbia and abroad.
Igor was a member of many juries in various competitions and he is a permanent member of “Vojvodina Symphony Orchestra” since 2000 and plays also in other orchestras in Serbia.
