Ivana Makević Mađarić

Ivana Makević Mađarić was born in 1983. She received her basic musical education in the class of prof. Maka Stevan in Bačka Palanka, and high school in the Music School “Isidor Bajić” in Novi Sad, in the class of prof. Zima Čaba, where she finished school as a student of the generation. In the same year, she entered the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, and graduated in March 2007 in the class of prof. Evgenije Kravtseva. She is the recipient of the University Award for Outstanding Achievement, as well as the Scholarship for Young Talents.
During her education, she attended numerous master classes with prominent pedagogues and artists, including Stefan Kamilarov, Megumi Teshima and Igor Koreti.
She started her teaching career in 2007 at the “Petar Konjović” Music School in Bečej, where she worked until 2013. Since then, she has been employed at the “Isidor Bajić” Music School in Novi Sad, and since 2019, she has been the head of the expert council of string players. She continued her professional development through numerous seminars and master courses with eminent pedagogues, such as Tatjana Balašova, Igor Tkačuk, Dejan Bogdanović, Timur Meljnik, Arkadij Vinokurov, Miroslav Pavlović and Ivana Aćimoska Žikić.
With her students, she achieved exceptional pedagogical results, which is confirmed by nearly two hundred awards won at national and international competitions. She was a member of the jury at numerous domestic and international competitions, including: “Artisti dell’arco” International String Competition, “Isidor Bajić” Festival, “Fantast” International Music Competition, Republic Chamber Music and String Instruments Competition, Šabac String Festival, “Kosta Manojlović” Memorial, Days of Music in B.Topola, Final Competition of Musical Talents in Sremski Karlovci.
Her students are members of the youth symphony orchestra “ESYO”, scholarship holders and members of the orchestra within the Fames Institute, as well as scholarship holders of the Stefan Milenković Music Institute.
For fifteen years, he has been an active member of the string quartet “Studio Alektik”, with which he performs successfully in the country and abroad.
