Mihaela Tomescu

Mihaela Tomescu is one of the most important violin teachers, with a very successful artistic life.
She graduated from George Enescu High School and graduated from the Ciprian Porumbescu Conservatory of Music in Bucharest.

More than 40 years of teaching violin at George Enescu High School, in fact George Enescu College, have allowed her to show what it means to love her profession.

So, her students are laureates at many national and international violin competitions, and many of them are already in very important positions as soloists or in large orchestras or classes.

Since 1999, Mihaela Tomescu, together with her husband, pianist Adrian Tomescu, and her violinist-soloist at the Bucharest National Radio Orchestra, Alexander Tomescu, have founded the “Remember Enescu” cultural foundation.
The Remember Enescu Cultural Foundation organizes seasons of recitals, two national competitions and the International Remember the Enescu Violin Competition.
Mihaela Tomescu was invited as a jury member of many national and international violin competitions and received many diplomas for her work.
